Komuna e Vrapçishtit gjendet në mes të qytetit të Tetovës dhe Gostivarit, në luginën e malit Sharr, në pjesën Veri-Perëndimore të Republikes së Maqedonisë së Veriut, në të cilën përfshihet një pjesë e madhe e Fushës së Pollogut. Kufizohet me Komunën e Bogovinës, Bervenicës, Gostivarit, dhe në perëndim me Republikën e Kosovës. Si mjedis rural përfshin përafërsisht 192 km², me 28.100 banorë. Komuna e Vrapçishtit është mjedis multietnik në të cilin jetojnë: Shqipëtarë, Turq, Maqedonas, dhe pjesëtarë të nacionaliteteve tjera. Si komunë rurale funksionon prej vitit 1996, kurse në mandatin e tretë te pushtetit lokal me bashkimin e Komunës së Vrapçishtit dhe Komunës së Negotinës së Pollogut u formua Komuna e Vrapçishtit si një komunë e përbashkët dhe e vetme në tërë teritorin e Vrapçishtit dhe të ish Komunës së Negotinës së Pollogut

CROSS BORDER FIRESHIELD

In the framework of the Cross-Border Cooperation of the European Union, North Macedonia –
Albania (IPA 2) for the CROSS BORDER;FIRESHIELD; project, the implementation of the
main activities is ongoing in accordance with defined time frame of the project. One of these
activities is the construction of the Territorial Fire Station in Gradec, Vrapçisht Municipality.
Currently, the construction of the station building is continuing and intensive work is being done to
make this station functional by the summer of 2023
Territorial fire-fighting Station will serve the protection of the inhabitants of two
municipalities: Vrapciste with a territory of 158 km2 and Bogovinje with more than 142 km2
being the biggest in size and in population rural municipalities in North Macedonia.)
